Kagune appearance:

Taking on all colors of the rainbow, her kagune is very colorful, with a large, red vein that travels all the way down the tail. Along with this, the edges around her tail are black, and the black fades into the rest of her kagune.
Her kagune is also shown has the ability to turn completely transparent, as a sort of camouflage.

Appearance: Nozomi is a soft-pink haired teenager of average height, with blue-green eyes and pale skin.
She wears a yellow dress with soft pink tights and a red blazer that hangs off of her shoulder. Nozomi also wears a pair of plain black shoes.
In :re, Nozomi has grown a bit taller and seems to have become a bit curvier. Nozomi is also shown to have cut her hair shorter. She wears a long sleeved coat with flower designs and a white tank top underneath, she wears black jeans and combat boots with a small lace choker.
Her battlesuit consists of a body suit, with an altered aogiri Tree jacket and a pair of boots.
After chapter 104, Nozomi is seen to have gone through a few appearance changes. Her hair has grown out and she styles it in small pigtails underneath her ears. She now wears a large cream colored sweater with a rusty pink scarf and a pair of dark pink jeans and black shoes. It is also implied that Nozomi may have gained a bit of weight.

Personality: Nozomi is seen to be a very laid back and kind individual who has no problems communicating with others due to her rather extroverted persona.
In :re Nozomi has shown to become much more serious and stoic, but still inherits her laid back side from when she was younger. 

Plot:

|Background|

Nozomi's story began twelve years after Her birth. Her home in the eighteenth ward was raided by ccg members, killing both of her parents, and severely injuring Nozomi. She Now calls this event the "accident", due to it being accidental that their secret was found out.

With little strength, she managed to get away, and made Her way to the thirteenth ward. Upon her arrival,
She was soon taken in by three ghouls, Isamu, Chinatsu, and Yasu. Who acted as her parental figures after Her parents died.

These three ghouls trained nozomi to be able to get an idea on how fight against any rc type.
(Isamu, Chinatsu, and Yasu consisted of the four rc types.)
Chinatsu is a chimera (rinkaku, koukaku), Yasu is a bikaku, and isamu is an ukaku.

They all traveled around the thirteenth ward, and caused quite a bit of trouble during this time.
Nozomi shared a decent amount of fights with other ghouls and ccg members, and at the age of 12, she becomes a powerful rank A ghoul.
She was extremely aggressive during this period of her life, she was known to call others out to fights, and had the alias "neon" at the time.

When she reached the Age of sixteen, she was starting to gain too much attention for her liking, so she decided to leave the thirteenth ward and her caretakers, in an attempt to give up Her aggressive personality. Soon, she made her way to the twentieth ward, hoping to fly off the grid from the ccg.

Things went on smoothly for a few months, until word got around about aogiri. A band of ghouls that had successfully took over an entire ward.
Bored with trying to live a peaceful life, Nozomi moved to the eleventh ward in the hopes of joining their ranks. Upon her arrival, she began to make herself known again.
A few executives caught wind of nozomi and her unique adaptation, and was accepted.

During the aogiri arc, she is seen next to Ayato before he traveled to the 20th ward to capture rize.


|Root A (anime)|

Nozomi is barely seen during root A, accept for a brief moment where she is observing kaneki in cochlea.


|Nutcracker investigation|

Nozomi is seen sitting next to Ayato before Eto requested for them to help guard big madam in the auction. She is also seen sitting near torso as hinami tries to interpret a conversation between Two investigators.


|Auction|

During the auction, nozomi begrudgingly accompanies Naki, along with Miza and her team.
When Akira mado confronted naki,
she immediately began to direct herself towards the one-on-one fight between them, preparing to provide backup for Naki if something went wrong.
However, she was struck in the back by the fuegucchi quinque during the crossfire of Naki and Akira's fight, and suffered a sort of spinal injury, which rendered her almost unable to fight.
Knowing Her current condition, she immediately begins to search for a safer place to lay low, but with the arrival of the Arima squad, she abandoned Her plan to retreat with Ayato and the rest of the aogiri members chosen to secure the auction.


|Rosewald Investigation|

Nozomi is seen to not have fully recovered from her back injury (it is implied that she worsened her condition by attempting to fight before she was fully healed.), but still accompanies Ayato during the aogiri meeting. When Seidou mocks Ayato, she begins to attempt to calm him down, but is interrupted when Tatara intervenes between Ayato and Seidou.


|Third cochlea Raid|

During the Third cochlea Raid, nozomi is seen briefly talking to Ayato before leaving him to carry out his plan to save hinami.
Upon hearing cochlea's alarm, She soon returns and enters cochlea.
Nozomi doesn't engage in battle immediately. instead, she stops to witness Ayato being attacked by Arima.
Nozomi watches in horror as ayato is attacked, and begins to make her way down to help him fight, but upon seeing other ghouls begin to help him, she decides to take a more 'stealty' approach towards them.
Making her way down through cochlea, Nozomi crosses paths with Ayato, Hinami, Touka, and Yomo.
She is instantly relived to see Ayato is alive.
When they arrive at the compactor, Nozomi decides to stay behind to make sure everyone gets down safely.
But when the compactor suddenly turns on, she goes into a panic before Eto destroys the matchine. Being relived once again seeing Ayato is safe, she hops down into the damaged compactor and they make their way into the sewage tunnel.
After being confronted by Aura and Mougan, Nozomi begins to map out a way to escape, but her train of thought is interupted when mougan attacks and injures Hinami. She tries to stop Ayato from attacking in retaliation of what happened to Hinami, but fails and watches as the projectiles shot from Aura's weapon lock onto Ayato and explode, and she begins to have another panic attack.

Hinami fueguchi | Good relationship |
-Upon their first meeting Nozomi wasn't very fond of Hinami. However in :re, they seem to get along rather fine. She seemed upset upon hearing of her capture.

Tatara | Respectful relationship |
-When Nozomi had started to make herself known in the eleventh ward, tatara was the first one to gain interest in Her unique adaptation and kagune.
Upon their first meeting nozomi was quite intimidated by him, and really didn't question any orders he gave her. In :re, she still has about the same impression, and follows every order she is assigned.

Eto Yoshimura | Respectful relationship |
-like tatara, eto was another executive that caught wind of nozomi when she arrived in the eleventh ward. When they first met, nozomi had mixed feelings about that "little girl" that accepted Her to become a member.
In :re, they developed a rather good freindship. And have been seen multiple times talking to each other.

Miza | Good relationship |
-little is known about their relationship, but they do seem to be on good terms.

Ayato Kirishima | Love interest/significant other |
-Nozomi was interested in Ayato from the very beginning. She liked the fact he was aggressive, wich is something she had grown accustomed to due to her life in the 13th ward, and made her feel a bit more at home when she first joined. The two were often paired together for missions as Nozomi could easily handle Ayato's temper and the two grew relatively close over time. 
In :re, Ayato and Nozomi's relationship has seen to have become romantic, and the two seem to care deeply about each other.

Touka Kirishima | Good relationship | 
-After their initial meeting, the two didn't seem very fond of eachother.
After sitting down and having a cup of coffee together, the two opened up and seem to get along perfectly fine. Nozomi has joked about Touka being her 'future sister-in-law'.

Nozomi acts as a motherly figure to Aiko after his parents were killed off by the ccg. She is incredibly protective of him and makes sure nothing is to happen to him.

Aya | *Nemesis-Virus* | Conflicted relationship |
-Nozomi acted as a supervisor when aya had become a half ghoul. Once aya rebelled against aogiri, Nozomi and Aya had various run-ins afterward. These run ins always ended in an ugly and brutal fight between the two. these events led to the two being recognized as rivals.

Sinon | *Max-Zi* | Close relationship |
-Sinon and Nozomi seem to be very close friends, and they hung out alot before nozomi joined aogiri. They were cut off from eachother for a long while, but in :re their close relationship appears again, Nozomi sometimes even calls Sinon her 'little sister'.

Shinobu | *Lone-Nightingale* | Good relationship | 
-Since shinobu is a rather quiet ghoul, it took Nozomi awhile to get him interact outside of business.
However, Nozomi got shinobu to open up, and the two formed a close bond and enjoy spending time together.

-Nori, like the spy he is, started to gain information on executives, and Nozomi is no different. He instantly tries to befriend Her and their friendship just shot off from there.

 -As far as their relationship goes, Katashi treats Her like any other executive.
He also seemed interested In her kagune, but other than that he doesn't mess with her that much.
